Don’t for get JAZZ FEST! Monday, Feb 13 2006 

Our Jazz Blues Festival will be the last Saturday and Sunday in April, the 29th & 30th.

You can get a good start on your projects if you start now.

We are planning another street fest, as we are doing for Mardi Gras, as we all hope that will turn out to be a success! 🙂

If we find that we had certain problems from Carnival, we will make the adjustments, and try to learn as we go!

This site has this years New Orleans schedule, in case any of your are lucky enough to be in the area! If so, bring us back some good PICS!   🙂

Mardi Gras, “Let the Good Times Roll” Contests Friday, Feb 10 2006 

We are pleased to announce Mardi Gras, “Let the Good Times Roll”! Presented by, Fem’s Quarter A Jazz Blues club. This is our very first Carnival!
We are planning to have this become an annual event, along with a late April, Jazz Fest!

The theme for our Mardi Gras and Jazz Fest, is, ‘Let the Good Times Roll”!


There will be 3 categories:

1. Paz decorating
2. T-shirt design
3. Poster design

These competing pazs will become the city in which we hold the Carnival!
So please keep within the style of New Orleans, remembering, we are a PG_13 world!

For t-shirts and posters, ALL entries, MUST be submitted to me, with a picture and the name of shirt, or poster artwork when or before they are listed in auctions for purchase.
You may do this by sending a picture and the title of item to me through e-mail. (address and rules listed below)

These must all be NEW designs, exclusive to this years Festivals! Nothing already in world will be allowed, and will be disqualified if revealed.

This contest is open to any and all Therians, in good standing.

Winners will be announced and prizes will be awarded at the Carnival’s Finale on the Feb 28th (Fat Tuesday.)

at the end of the Finale event on Feb 28th.

So, get busy, read up online for info on New Orleans, if you need to get a taste of the flavors that life on the Southern Gulf Coast is all about! ‘whaaaala”

Poster Design Contest Friday, Feb 10 2006 

The contest is to create the best poster with a Mardi Gras/New Orleans/Jazz/Blues theme. You can enter more than one graphic if you like.


Poster sizes: (? still figuring this one out, but don’t let that stop you from entering. All designs can be used in one artwork or another!)

Only jpg or png images will be eligible: Below are examples for landscape. Also we are looking for portrait, to use as actual poster!

To enter a Mardi Gras/New Orleans/Jazz/Blues theme T-shirt in the contest just send an email with your There ID and a Picture and name of your t-shirts, at time of submission, (or when you list it for sale)  along with the new item auction number to Make the subject: Contest There Mardi Gras
Best in T-shirt design (male or female ): Enter as many designs as you like. Just be sure it is a NEW ’06 item!

1st place; 50,000 TBUX

2nd place;35,000 TBUX

3rd place; 25,000 TBUX

PAZ Dec rating Contest Friday, Feb 10 2006 

The contest is to create the best PAZ with a Mardi Gras/New Orleans/Jazz/Blues theme. You can enter more than one PAZ if you like.

To enter EACH of your PAZs just send an e-mail to:, subject: CONTEST THERE MARDI GRAS, give the name and theme of you PAZ (ie; if you want your PAZ to be a barber shop, give it a name and say for instance, “Beaudreaux’s Cuts”, a barber shop.

You must be willing to place your PAZ for judging, at the Carnival site, on the weekend of the 25th and 26th. After they have been judged, we will notify you and you may move them, until the Carnival Eve, Monday, Feb. 27th. They MUST stay on the Carnival site, as part of the city, until after the Finale, Fat Tuesday, Feb. 28th, at 7 pm central time.

The Finale is when the winners will be announced and recieve the prizes of TBUX!

Don’t forget to sign up too for the Fem’s Quarter a Jazz Blues club event, so you will be counted. You can also “go there” to see where the event is, so you will know where to be on the judging weekend. And to get your teleport on Carnival Day! Do that here: sign up for this event.
